I have over 22 years’ experience as a pharmacist having practiced in hospital, community, government and university settings. After graduating from university in the UK, I migrated to Australia, to work as a clinical pharmacist at a major teaching hospital in Sydney, working in geriatric and respiratory medicine before specialising in cancer care.

I have played a lead role in the development of eviQ, Cancer Treatment online (eviq.org.au), a program within the Cancer Institute NSW, which has become a major driver for the uptake of evidence based information for oncology health professionals working at the point of care.

I have a passion for teaching and mentoring and currently lecture at the Maters of Pharmacy course at the University of Sydney. With a keen interest in education, I also participated in the development of online modules for community pharmacists, focusing on oral chemotherapy, which are currently hosted by both the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia and the Pharmacy Guild of Australia.

As an accredited consultant pharmacist, I am approved to undertake medication management reviews, including Home Medication Reviews (HMRs) and Residential Medication Management Reviews (RMMRs) for individuals in community or aged care settings.

I believe my warm, realistic approach mixed with a strong emphasis on education and patient responsibility can help empower patients to achieve and maintain optimal health and am committed to providing the highest quality health care.
